How to get traffic to your online store or website for free!
Today’s post was actually developed to teach others how to get traffic to their eCommerce shops such as Peoplestox and Ecrater but these tips will definitely benefit bloggers and webmasters as well. One of the main reasons why many online businesses and bloggers aren’t making money on the internet is because they fail to properly market their business, products, or services. If you just have a website and you aren’t doing anything as far as promoting your business, then you are truly doing yourself a disservice. Please keep in mind that more exposure to your site = More $$ for you. Side Note: If you aren’t really tech savvy or simply just don’t know how to do certain things; you can always outsource your work for other people to complete these tasks for you. Fiverr has really made it possible for businesses to outsource work for only $5. Here is a list of simple tips on how to get traffic and increase your revenue/sales:
1. Create a Podcast about your business or website- The basics of podcasting is simply creating audio recordings about whatever it is that you’re marketing and then submitting it to sites like Itunes and Zune. The easiest way to achieve this would be to create a brief 2-4 minute recording about your business/website by using podomatic.com. After you’ve created your podcast, you will submit the rss link of your podcast to various podcast directories.
2. List your site in local business listings- Just because you have a website, doesn’t not mean that people are going to find you online. Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yellow pages, and many other local search directories will allow you to list your business info on their site for FREE. J. This will allow others to find your business locally.
3. Promote your services on classified sites- The benefit of listing your business on classified sites is 100% FREE and very powerful. Craigslist alone gets 20 billion pages views per month. You should really invest 10 minutes of your time to promote your services on classified sites at least 2-3 times per week. Other great Classified sites are Backpage, Oodle, Kijiji, and Usfreeads.
4. Video Marketing-Create a mini video about your business or website and then submit it to Tubemogul.com. This site will distribute your video to multiple video sharing sites such as YouTube and Vimeo for free.
5. Print out Business cards or flyers and distribute them to people in your area. Vistaprint.com has a really great deal on business cards right now. You can order 500 premium business cards for only $3.99. For that price, they might as well be free. lol
6. Write a press release about your new business- Creating a press release will allow other bloggers or news media to share your online content. If you don’t know how to do this, you can always do a Google search for sample press releases and just follow the layout. After your press release is created, you will then need to submit it to sites such as prlog.com and npr.org. For a larger list of press release sites, check out the Blogstash Website.
7. Article marketing – Create one really great article and share it to major article directories such as Ezine.com, Hubpages, and many others.
8. Social Bookmarking- The easiest way to submit your site to multiple social bookmarking sites is to check out imautomator.com. It’s a free social bookmarking tool that will distribute your new blog posts or articles to various social bookmarking site such as Digg, Stumple Upon, and Reddit.
If you are consistent with your efforts, then your hard work will definitely pay off in the long run. Anything that’s worth having will require a lot of work. If you found this info useful, then please put a “like” on it. Lol!
Until next time, Adios Amigos
