Great Places to Find a Blogger Job
Becoming a paid blogger is possible, if you know where to look… For many people, it is as simple as starting your own blog, blogging on a topic you are passionate about, and attracting readers through social media and SEO. Once you have the traffic, you can start to sell advertising space or affiliate products to earn a nice passive income from your blogging.
But beyond starting your own blog, there are other blogger jobs to be had. Leave no stone unturned in your quest for the right blogger job for you:
Pro Blogger: Just like the name suggests, Pro Blogger is a popular website for bloggers that also has an active job board and community. All of the jobs on this job board are blog specific, so you can trust that you are in the right place.
Even better, it costs $50 to post a blogger job here, so the companies that post jobs are truly in need of blogger services. Since this job board is located on a trustworthy website, you can often find legitimate blogging opportunities where you can get paid to write from home.
Blogger Jobs: This is another website that specializes in a variety of blogging jobs found online to give you the inside scoop on what companies are really looking for. Keep in mind that these jobs are not posted in any type of protected forum, like a paid membership freelance writing website.
This means that if you take a blogger job through a website like this, then you need to do your research on the company and make sure that they are honest and ethical in their business intentions. While there are good opportunities to be had, keep your eyes open for the scammers out there.
Elance: This is a freelance membership website that offers a basic membership for only $10 per month. Although not all jobs may be blogger specific, you can find writing jobs in a wide variety of categories related to e-books, articles, blogs, and newsletters.
Keep in mind that Elance works more so on a project by project basis, so it is unlikely that you will find a full-time blogging opportunity in most circumstances.
Craigslist: While Craigslist is not a top choice as a blogging job resource, you can check out this area-specific classified website if you have exhausted all of your other job search resources. Craigslist will provide you with insight on specific jobs in your area.
The odds are that some companies may have posted a need for a blogger in your city that you can reply to through the website. However, since Craigslist is often known for its shady dealings, make sure that you are working with a legitimate company before you commit to a work schedule or leave your day job.
Bethany Ramos is a full-time freelance writer that co-owns her own e-commerce website, The Coffee Bump. The Coffee Bump specializes in a wide variety of commercial coffee makers and assorted coffee and espresso products.
